Ike Foundation Restocking Lakes

May 15, 2023-Pittsgrove, NJ- As part of our continued commitment to conservation, The Ike Foundation® was proud to support the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control on their spring lake stocking campaign. With our $1,000 donation, stocked eight ponds and lakes throughout the state with Largemouth Bass and Bluegill. The fish were raised at the Sussex County Correctional Center in Georgetown with guidance from advisors at Delaware State University.

Hillside Park Pond and Smithmill Pond, Newark, DE are small catch and release water bodies frequented by youth and families. All of the ponds and lakes that were stocked are open to the public and have fishing piers or courtesy docks, shoreline access, and boat ramps.

Ike’s 2023 Youth Tournament Trail

Anglers can fish from their own boat or can be paired with fully vetted volunteer anglers from local bass clubs. Prizes will be awarded to the top three youth anglers at each event.
