Free Family Fun Fest on the Chesapeake Bay!

Ike Foundation Restocking Lakes

The Ike Foundation® also hosted a Free Family Fun Fest along the banks of the Chesapeake, while the anglers were competing in the Pro Am. It was a beautiful day! Over two dozen volunteers from NJ, PA and MD came to teach kids to fish and to give out gifts from the foundation. Each child at the event went home with a brand-new rod and reel, a Flambeau tackle box, and a fantastic bag of fishing goodies. Catches of the day included a variety of species like bass, perch, blue gill and catfish. Some of the kids were new to fishing and caught their very first fish that day! The Ike Foundation understands how meaningful these experiences are for the participants and hope that they all left with a newfound love of fishing.
