October 7, 2025- The Ike Foundation®, founded by professional bass angler and TV personality Mike Iaconelli and his wife, Becky, brought the joy of fishing to nearly 100 children during its Hook’em Early Event at Haddon Lake on Saturday, October 4th. It was a picture-perfect morning filled with sunshine, laughter, and lots of fish!
Hook’em Early events are all about giving kids the chance to experience fishing, often for the very first time, while encouraging them to unplug from screens and enjoy the great outdoors. At registration, each participant received a brand-new Abu Garcia rod and reel, a Flambeau tackle box, and a swag bag loaded with fishing essentials. We were fortunate to have lots of volunteers who helped the kids measure fish and release them safely.
The excitement on the banks of Haddon Lake was contagious. The fish were biting…sunnies stole the show, along with a few bass and one giant catfish. Every catch came with cheers and big smiles.
Of course, Hook’em Early events would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and partners. We’re thankful for the support of TD Bank Charitable Foundation, Holman-Maple Shade, Garden State Boy Scout Council, Buzzer Rocks, Hoffman’s Exterminating, Rita’s Water Ice, Bass Cat, Flambeau, Abu Garcia and AFTCO.
The Ike Foundation® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Mike and Becky Iaconelli.
