August 4, 2025- The Ike Foundation®, founded by professional bass angler and TV personality Mike Iaconelli, proudly announced an exciting partnership with Jaws Youth Playbook, the charitable foundation of former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback and sports commentator Ron Jaworski. Together, the two organizations hosted a special kids fishing event aimed at making a lasting impact on the lives of underserved and at-risk youth.
The event took place at Riverview Family Success Center in Penns Grove, NJ, on July 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. It introduced children to the joys of fishing while encouraging them to disconnect from screens and reconnect with the great outdoors. For many participants, it was their very first time holding a fishing rod and hopefully, not their last.
“We’ve seen how something as simple as fishing can change a kid’s life,” said Mike Iaconelli, founder of The Ike Foundation®. “It teaches patience, builds confidence, and sparks a love for the outdoors that can last a lifetime. We were thrilled to partner with Jaws Youth Playbook to bring this experience to the children of the Riverview Family Success Center.”
Participants received hands-on fishing instruction, learned knot tying skills, used provided rods and reels, and had the chance to catch and release their very own fish. The event also included lunch, giveaways, and plenty of smiles.
“My foundation is thrilled to partner with Mike Iaconelli and his foundation," said Ron Jaworski, founder of Jaws Youth Playbook. "Providing access to sports and outdoor activities like fishing builds a solid foundation in the early years of a child’s life that will help them reach their full potential!"
